Austin Steam Train Association

Want to take a day trip where the journey is just as exciting as the destination? The Austin Steam Train Association has just what you're looking for. This non-profit is dedicated to preserving the city's historic steam trains and the tracks they run on. Our real estate agents have been on several unforgettable train rides on their preserved trains while doing business in the Cedar Park area. Here's what they had to say about this one-of-a-kind Austin attraction.

Historical Significance

Although they were in use long before this, steam trains had their heyday in the 1930s through the 1950s. They were fast, elegant, affordable, and offered an easy way to travel long distances that would take days to cross using most other methods of transportation. Today, the Austin Steam Train Association keeps that tradition alive by offering short round-trip outings to nearby towns and points of interest.

Round Rock Donut Shops

Our real estate agents firmly believe that there's no better way to start your day than with a warm, freshly-baked donut and a good cup of coffee. Luckily, here in the Round Rock area, we have an incredible variety of options when it comes to local donut shops.

Located just north of Austin, Round Rock might just be the secret donut capital of Texas. These are the best places to get your morning donuts in Round Rock and Cedar Park.

  • Round Rock Donuts - 106 W Liberty Ave, Round Rock, TX 78664
Without a doubt, Round Rock Donuts is the donut shop our local community is best known for. Founded in 1926, Round Rock Donuts has become an iconic staple of the Round Rock area, and they're still using the same original recipe nearly 100 years later. Folks come from all over the world to sample these delicious donuts, enjoy the shop's Western-themed decor and argue about whether the unique hand-rolled dough is yellow or orange.
